Host Collective grew from a simple realization: the projects we cared about most were never just about physical spaces; they were about the human experiences that bring them to life. For us, hospitality isn't just a category of design. It's a way of thinking.
Whether we're designing hotels, restaurants, bars, or amenity suites, we balance big creative ideas with the practical realities of interior design — from operational flow to smart budgeting. We believe that good design is good business. Nick Hernandez, Founder + Design Principal
Born in Bogotá and raised in Miami, I grew up surrounded by two cultures that shared one thing in common: bringing people together. Some of my favorite memories happened around a table, where food, conversation, and connection mattered more than anything else.
Those experiences continue to shape the way I see design today.
After nearly two decades creating restaurants, bars, and hotels, I still find the greatest satisfaction in helping people build places that become part of someone else's memories. Host Collective is the result of that journey—a studio rooted in curiosity, relationships, and the belief that hospitality has the power to make people feel seen, welcomed, and at home.
Today, that perspective has become even more personal, inspired every day by my wife, my daughter, and the life we're building together in Chicago.
