The Weber Grill in Orland Park began with a familiar object: the iconic Weber kettle grill. Rather than reference it literally, the design pulls it apart — using its materiality, utility, and industrial character as the foundation for a more sophisticated restaurant experience.

Raw black metal and Crittall-style doors are juxtaposed with handmade tile, cream basketweave flooring, and marble surfaces. A tailored plaid carpet in ashy tones brings a subtle sense of heritage, while deep green walls and vertically ribbed velvet banquettes soften the palette and create moments of warmth and intimacy. Timeless black-and-white artwork completes the composition.

The result balances raw and refined, familiar and unexpected — translating the character of an iconic American brand into a restaurant that feels elevated, timeless, and distinctly Weber.

Hyatt Place Rapid City takes its cues from the contrasts of the Black Hills — rugged terrain against expansive sky, dry textures against organic life, and a landscape that feels both grounded and open.

Locally selected Black Hills stone, botanical motifs, earthy textures, and organic forms bring that landscape inside. Rough-cut stone reception fronts create a tactile connection to the surrounding geology, while a lighter, contemporary palette moves beyond traditional rustic references.

Overhead, a sculptural soffit stretches across the lobby like an abstracted sky, connecting reception, lounge, dining, and social spaces below. Each flows naturally into the next, creating one continuous environment shaped by the feeling of the Black Hills rather than simply borrowing its imagery.

Nando's Hyde Park takes the creative energy of South Africa and imagines it through the lens of an artist's loft — expressive, layered, and intentionally imperfect.

The interior design builds on Nando's bold visual identity through saturated color, graphic pattern, handwoven pendant shades, and tactile materials, while spilled-paint gestures and unexpected bursts of color give the space the energy of a studio in progress.

That expression begins before you even step inside. A monumental mural hand-painted across the façade by South African artist Kilmany-Jo Liversage turns the building itself into a piece of art.

Together, art, craft, color, and material create a restaurant that feels alive with creative energy.

Sonder draws from the meeting of two distinctly Chicago conditions — the fluidity of Lake Michigan and the sophistication of the architecture surrounding it.

Movement becomes a recurring language throughout the interior, expressed through organic carpet patterns, layered textures, softly tailored FF&E, and color-drenched rooms. Rather than referencing the lake literally, those elements capture its rhythm and softness while a more refined palette connects the experience to its Streeterville setting.

Across the lobby, amenity spaces, corridors, and suites, the result is cohesive but never repetitive — a contemporary hospitality experience shaped equally by the water and the city around it.
